Reflections


This is clearly the hardest part to write, not because it’s the end or that I’m sad, it’s because I do not know the words to use. I can show you pictures, tell you my stories, but my experience goes beyond that, something that I can never describe to you, you can only experience it for yourself, only then can you understand my thoughts and feelings right now. Southeast Asia will touch your emotions, change your perception of reality, and give you a new path to follow…

… to everyone who I traveled with and shared this adventure, thanks so much, you made this something very special. I love you all…

… to everyone I met along the way, thanks for your advice, your company, and sharing your experience with me, I’ll remember you always…

I left looking for an adventure and found myself not just learning a culture, but learning about myself. It’s not what it means to be American, Thai, Chinese, or European; it’s what it means to be human, to be happy, to survive, and to enjoy Mother Earth.

I almost wrapped this whole thing up with “If you don’t get out and do it this year, then you will be at least one year older when you do…” However I think it’s better for me, you, and everyone else if I just conclude with:
